That was then... EL PASO FURNITURE MART, INC. (June 1989)

Greetings! - My name is Jose A. Alvarez and I have been a lifelong Resident of El Paso, Texas. After high school, I started working at El Paso Furniture Mart, Inc. (a small furniture store on Alameda Ave.) as a warehouse/delivery person, my first job, how exciting!

There was only one salesperson in the store, the owner's son-in-law, not much time past and the owner's daughter and the salesperson divorced, he left the store and I was promoted to the sales position. My first sales job!

This is now... ALL FURNITURE BY CATALOG (February 2007)

After working many years in the Retail Furniture Industry, (since 1989) I finally decided, with help from a friend who owns his business, to follow his footsteps and be in business for myself. Ever since I started working in the industry, I been enjoying meeting and helping people with their furniture needs and now that I'm in charge, it gives me a greater satisfaction to be able to offer very affordable furniture without the need to sacrifice value and quality.

I established ALL Furniture By Catalog with two reasons in mind:

(1) To be in business for myself, no more bosses, quotas or strict schedules!

(2) To offer true savings, now everyone can afford quality brand new furniture!

Saving you money is my number one priority, in other words, simply more furniture with less investment. ALL Furniture By Catalog offers everyday wholesale prices to the public. I met with local furniture distributors, most of whom I have known for years while working at furniture stores, and agreed and decided to buy from them and sell everything at COST plus a very low commission, at my discretion.

You might wonder how I can afford to give everything at COST? Well very simple, I do not have a showroom, which SAVES ME the grand investment on rent, utilities, showroom furniture that needs to be paid in advance and time to sell inventory sitting down on a floor. Not having these unnecessary extras, enables me to pass the savings onto you, the customer. This is why I named my Business ALL Furniture By Catalog, an online company that cuts the overhead of traditional brick and mortar furniture stores.

This entire means: True Savings to customers who shop ALL Furniture By Catalog, because you will not be paying the Retail Price, instead, you will be paying wholesale prices with a very low commission, already included in Your COST. I'ts like an old saying that I heard in Dallas, TX. while visiting my Sister: "I sell a little, but every now and then. I earn a little, but every now and then".
